Why an offline, in-browser image compressor?
Most image compressors upload your file to a server, run a CLI like mozjpeg or pngquant, and send the result back. That is convenient, but it also means your selfies, screenshots, product mockups and personal IDs sit on a stranger's machine. - Below 50 — only for placeholder use; expect visible artefacts.

- Convert big PNG photos to JPG or WebP — often 5–10× smaller.
- Keep PNG for screenshots with text and any image needing transparency.
- WebP is now safe everywhere (every modern browser, iOS 14+, Android 5+).
- AVIF is even smaller again but encoding can be slow on older devices.
